Midtown Family Services

In a region as affluent as Silicon Valley, no family should fear losing housing

Yet many do, their challenges hidden in plain sight. For that reason, since 2014 Midtown Family Services has delivered life-changing assistance to residents of 5 pockets of poverty in West San Jose. These pockets are Buena Vista, Rose Glen, Burbank, Anderson Village/Starbird Park, Cadilac Winchester, the neighborhoods between them, and the neighborhoods just beyond them. Our team works to support individuals and families at all levels of their journey from housing instability to housing permanence.
Stability Protects Families

Housing is the foundation of family

Our programs drive our mission of navigating Silicon Valley residents to achieve self-sufficiency in housing, financial freedom, and build a network of social support.

Re-Entry Services

Midtown's Re-Entry Services uses a Housing First strategy to meet the immediate housing needs parolees have upon return, for 1 year. Offered with this is budgetting, credit counseling, legal assistance, employment coaching, and other services so that motivated individuals are able to obtain stable incomes sufficient to continue paying for housing and other personal needs on their own after their year with us is up. Program is open to persons returning to Santa Clara County from California State Prisons.

Midtown is a blessing, especially to young mothers like me

"There are more homeless moms out there that have struggled for so long," Janette says, "Sometimes we feel like finding good people is impossible but Midtown is just that, the good people; they are a blessing to people in need like me and my baby."
